The history of this temple was established in ancient time and is historic. After Pashupati Temple of Kathmandu , The Bajra Barahi Temple is the second largest temple of Nepal. The people believes that Bajra means energy or power comes in ancient time and the ruler at that time took the power alignment this temple and the concentric power was Pashupati Nath Temple, as the center of Power and rule over the country.
